Teller mit Schupfnudeln

Schupfnudeln with sauerkraut and bacon

You need for four portions:

  • 1 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 50 g bacon (vegetarians simply leave out the bacon)
  • 500 g Schupfnudeln
  • 1 jar of sauerkraut (of course you can also make the sauerkraut yourself)
  • approx. 75 ml vegetable stock
  • caraway seeds
  • salt
  • pepper

Schupfnudeln: How it works:

Dice the bacon. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the bacon cubes over a medium heat until crispy. Add the Schupfnudeln and fry for about five minutes until they are nicely browned. Now drain the sauerkraut and add it to the Schupfnudeln and bacon in the pan. Pour in the vegetable stock and mix everything together well. Simmer the krautschupfnudeln over a low heat for about ten minutes until the sauerkraut is cooked. Stir several times. Season to taste with caraway seeds, salt and pepper - done!

Chocolate fruits

For 15 skewers you need:

  • 500 g couverture or chocolate to taste
  • fruit according to taste or season
  • 15 wooden skewers
  • a baking tray or wire rack
  • a large and a small pot for a water bath
  • a pastry brush

Chocolate fruits: How it works:

Prepare the water bath: Fill the larger pot with water and hang the smaller pot in it. It is best to rest the smaller pot with the handles on the edge of the large pot - this way you don't have to hold the small pot the whole time. Now roughly chop the chocolate and pour it into the small pan so that it melts. Stir regularly so that the chocolate does not burn. In the meantime, place the fruit on the skewers. Once the chocolate has melted, you can coat the fruit with the chocolate using the pastry brush. Alternatively, you can also dip the skewers in it. Leave the finished skewers to dry. Done!

Our tip

Chocolate fruits taste best with strawberries, bananas, grapes, apples or pears.

Schälchen mit gebrannten Mandeln

Roasted almonds with chocolate and cinnamon

You need:

  • 300 g almonds (with skin)
  • 150 g coarsely chopped dark chocolate
  • some cinnamon
  • if desired: some gingerbread spice
  • 150 - 200 g powdered sugar

Roasted almonds: How it works:

Preheat the oven to 170°C (fan oven). Lay out baking paper on a baking tray and spread the almonds on it. Then place the almonds in the oven: roast them for about ten minutes. While the almonds are in the oven, melt the chocolate over a bain-marie. When the chocolate has melted, add about half a teaspoon of cinnamon and stir the chocolate and cinnamon mixture well. Then leave the chocolate to cool slightly - but don't let it set! Now take the roasted almonds out of the oven and place them in a large bowl. Pour the melted chocolate over them and mix everything well - after all, you want every almond to be covered in chocolate! Mix the powdered sugar with a little cinnamon and gingerbread spice. Now add the powdered sugar mixture to the bowl. Cover the bowl with a board. Now it's time to shake vigorously! Once all the almonds are well coated with powdered sugar, the almonds just need to cool. That's it!

Glühwein im Glas mit Früchten dekoriert

Classic mulled wine

For one liter you need:

  • 1 bottle of dry red wine
  • 1 orange or lemon (organic)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 cloves
  • some sugar, honey or agave syrup
  • optional: vanilla pod or some cardamom

Mulled wine: How it works:

Heat the red wine slowly. The wine must not boil - otherwise the alcohol may evaporate. Then add the remaining ingredients. Cut the orange or lemon into slices and add them too. Add vanilla or cardamom to taste. Then remove the pan from the heat and leave to infuse for at least an hour, or even longer. Strain and reheat before serving.
