Chocolate shortbread

Quick to make and simply delicious! These chocolate shortbread cookies are easy to make and not just delicious at Christmas time.

Ingredient list

110 g butter soft/room temperature
45 g powdered sugar
34 g marzipan paste
30 g egg yolk
40 g milk
salt
vanilla
orange zest
110 g flour
30 g starch
20 g cocoa
100 g nougat
25 g white chocolate coating to garnish as required


How it works:

  1. beat the butter briefly and then whip with the powdered sugar.
  2. mix the marzipan paste with the egg yolk and add to the mixture. Then stir in the milk.
  3. sieve the flour, starch and cocoa and add to the bowl together with the vanilla, salt and orange zest and stir in briefly.
  4. pour the mixture into a piping bag and pipe into curls or rosettes using a star tip (8 mm).
  5. bake at 180°C for approx. 13 minutes. Leave the cookies to cool and then fill with nougat and assemble.
  6. garnish with the white chocolate coating.
